Troyer tuner worth the money??

I am interested in buying the Tuner from Troyer but $400 is a lot of money to put out. Is it really worth the $400? The main problem I wish to have corrected is the annoying throttle lag. Will that problem be fixed with the tuner??

Buy it, you won't be dissapointed. Plus it's not as expensive as you said - call them and tell them you are a member of f150online.

Tell Troyer that you are a member of this site and they will give you a very generous discount. My tuner should be arriving any second now and I give you and update. Most others seem to think its worth its weight in gold.

Get it!! I have one of the 1714 tuners, and it's great! Improved throttle response, firmer shifting, quicker downshifting. It's all good!

Also, I probably will not do any mods other than MAYBE a CAI one day. Will the tuner still work just as well?

Throttle lag will dissappear. Overall performane will improve dramatically. My truck actually feels like a V8 should now.

I doesn't do chit for gas mileage because it makes it so much fun to drive you can't keep your foot off the accelerator.

Of course, your mileage may vary.

Very decent discount!!!I'm liking mine better all the time, and I just have the 87 octane tune installed in an otherwise stock truck...Kevin
P.S. You've gotta call them to get the discount!

Mine will be here tomorrow via UPS.

I still have questions. I have heard that throttle lag is improved or removed totally, firmer shifts and better shift points.

But, my question is this.

Is the truck at all quicker than before? If so how much? Dont get me wrong, better driveability is great. But, I am looking to get down the track faster and quicker in my truck.

Before I get told my truck isnt for racing....I know this. But, I have the R/C S/B 4x2 5.4L with 3.73's. My only concern is quicker acceleration... naturally aspirated at this point.

Gas mileage, noise and too firm of shift is NOT a concern for me.

Any info would be great.
