roush fords....or not??

i was driving through terre haute, indiana on friday and noticed 4 new f150's out front. They all had dual exhaust out the back, and a scoop in the hood similiar to the roush setup. Anyone know about these new trucks. I have to say they looked awesome.

Haven't seen any here at our local dealer's. We just had a tent sale at the plant and none there either. River oaks and Van Drunnen, Sutton.

They may have been a SOUTHERN COMFORT conversion. There are several of those around here that fit your description...

I live in Florida now, but I was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana until I was 18. Is it the main dealership on US 41?? If so, I dont think they are Roush. They are just a dressed up model. I believe the Roush are SC'd in addition to the exterior add-ons.

They have one up in Clinton Indiana too that I thought was a Roush. My Dad said they werent, they were just a modified version of stock. 20' rims, hood scoop, lowered and with a ground kit.

Thats the F150 Sport...... go to the top/left of webpage and click on vehicles. You'll see a stage 1 and stage 2 for 4x4 and 4x2 F150's!

edit: after reading it all, seems pointless no?! Especially for 4x4's. Lower the 4x4? come on. Although there are a few things i would get from roush. The hood scoop looks good in the pics. Also i'd like to see the roush pedals and leather seats.

Galpin Ford (San Fernando Valley, Southern California) had a silver Roush F150 on the lot when I bought my 2005 F150 a few weeks ago. Galpin is - or so they claim to be - the largest Ford dealership in the world. Or maybe it was the US. Whatever. They had a number of Roush and Saleen cars and trucks, and the salesman told me Jack Roush used to come there at least once a year for an appearance, before he had the plane crash.

Anyhoo...

I took a quick glance at the truck, and there did not seem to be too much cosmetic other than the hood scoop, which was fake, by the way. It sort of turned me off. No idea what is under the hood, but I would imagine it is impressive.

the roush pkg has nothing "under the hood" exhaust is the only performance add-on........ check the link i posted, it has all the info on the stages and what they offer.

Also.... a Stage 3 is in the making, but not out yet.

yeah it was the main dealership on 41, was on my way back from KY. Whatever they were they looked hot. Makes me wish i woulda waited a few more months. I put an email out to the dealership to see what the heck they were. I really like that scoop, cant stand to drill into my lovely hood tho...ah well.

I think the roush truck is pointless. I personally think its ugly and the "pimple" on the hood is just plain ugly as well as being non functional. How tacky! Roush did not think this one through imo.

certainly not as tacky as one of the hoods i saw on this board. Looked a bit like a wanna be trans am ramair hood. To each his own i guess, i like the scoop alot. functionality is only a grinder away.
