I'm getting them from the local Discount Tire here in Plano, TX. I've had great experiences with those guys and I don't think I'd ever go anywhere else...

I'm getting the Eagle 178s for $202 each and the Nittos for $240 each. I'm adding the additional warranty (free replacement) for $144, so everything with tax comes to ~$2000.00.

Can't wait!

Hey jd, let us know if you get any rubbing. I was looking at that very same combo with a 1.5" level. Would love any feedback.

I'll do that.....DT called and I'm going this afternoon to get her new shoes put on.

BTW, I have the Daystar 2.5 kit - I'll post pics and report about any rubbing tonight or tomorrow.

I had the Eagle 178s and Nitto TG 325/60R18's put on yesterday. Holy cow!

I thought my black lariat SCREW 4x4 looked pretty nice all leveled out before......but I can't begin to tell you how much a difference this wheel/tire combo makes. My jaw hits the ground every time I walk out to her! Just amazing!

There is a *bit* of a rub. When cranked all the way to the left, the left tire wants to catch the tip of the wheel lip molding - the part of the molding thats inside the wheel well and extends inside about 4 inches or so. Because it's a sharp edge, I'm afraid the tire will catch it and pop the whole flare off. But its easily fixed - I'm going to trim a couple inches off the end of the molding and problem should be resolved. This trimming won't be noticable at all from the outside.

If you have an XLT (or a truck without the wheel lip molding), you should be fine. The tire *might* still rub just slightly on the plastic inner wheel well, but there would be nothing sharp to catch as with the molding.

The guy at Discount Tire (who was a great help) also gave me a tip in case it still rubs on the soft inner well. Many guys will punch a small hole in that section of the wheel well and then zip-tie it back an inch or so to prevent the rub.

All in all, I'm so glad I went with this upgrade - looks like a new truck! I'll get pics up in a gallery soon!

Talking aftermarket wheels

Sorry, can't post a picture but i put eagel alloy 026 22x9.5's on my new 2wd r/c. If you go to aewheel.com you can see them. They look great. I am waiting for my eibach drop springs for the rear. The back is ridiculously high on the o4's.
