Lost one set of keys - need to replace

I need to replace a set of lost keys for my '04 Screw. Dealer says that with a new key purchase, new remote purchase and programming, i'm into it roughly $150. There has got to be a cheaper way to replace, doesn't there?

What about this path?

Ugh - sorry about the audio on the 2nd link but there is an "OFF" button

Thanks in advance....

The system in your truck requires 2 programmed keys in order to program a 3rd key. If you only have one programmed key, the dealer has to perform the program of the new key. They have to connect to the system with a programmer and erase the remaining key you have from memory. Then they use the programmer to add your old key and a new one. There is even a 10 minute delay from when they hook up the programmer to when they can delete your old key for security purposes.

I purchased a new OEM Ford F150 (2004) key from this ebay gentleman. Works perfectly, no issues at all. however, i bought a spare before i lost one. So, i programmed the key myself. Still, buying the key off ebay saves you 16 bucks from what the dealer wants for a new key.

Still say it's a go.

Check into locksmiths as well, sometimes they will program they key for you cheaper than the dealer will program it.
