how about these wheels with graplers

I just bought a Bright red/beige Lariat 4X4, and will be installing the autospring 1.5" kit. I want some wheels to wrap Nitto Grapplers (33") around, and I found these. Seems like a good width(8") and offset (+40mm). I know the grapplers want 9.5 inch wheels, but I have seen on this site that people mount them on stockers (7.5). What does everyone think?

I dont think that the Boss Wheels will fit a 4x4. I liked those wheels too, and somebody told me that they wouldnt fit a 6x135 bolt pattern.

They make them for the f150 now. 18x8 +40 offset and 6x135 bolt pattern. I am hoping to put 325/60/18 Nitto on them (33x12.5 tire). I would like the 325/65/18 nitto (35x13 tire) but not sure if it would rub.

You wont have any rubbing problems with the 325/60/18's once you put the leveling kit on.

Its the setup I am running and they are great tires.

Nice truck! So what is the width and offset of your wheels? I am only concerned about using an 8" wheel when they require 9.5". I noticed that BFG A/T are 33" (285/65) and they only require 8" wheel. I have a set of BFG on another truck and they are loud tires, I hear that the Nittos are much quieter.

The offset is 25mm the width is 8.5 I believe. The nittos are very quiet up until about 65 where you can start to get a litttle hum on freeway but you have to be really looking for it to hear it.

My solution to that is my listening to my flowmasters or crank up the stereo a bit more

How would I find out what is the largest size tire I could put on the KR rims (18").

I would like to get larger tires but stick with the rims for now.

Any thoughts.

Thanks

I have BFG AT 35s and I can tell you they are not loud at all. As a matter of fact, window down, radio off and hanging your head out the window at 65mph ya still cant hear them. Did you mean MT?

I had the 32/11.5 on a dakota, and they would hum loudly around 30mph and them quiet down at highway speeds. Are there any low speed hums from you BFGs? Does anyone have pics of the 285 -18" BFGs? I would like to see how they look. Are the 285s loud?

nitto's

Will those 325/60-18 Nitto Terra Grapplers fit on the stock 18" FX4 rims? I like that look, but I like the stock rims. Can local tire dealers get those, or are they a specialty tire....never heard of them. Also...does that change your speedometer reading?

Offset is key to tires not sticking out too far.

There is a post on this site for FX 4 wheels with terra graplers. It looks good.

This may help with tire size and rim size.

Nice wheels. I put 305-55-20 Grapplers on a 20x8.5 rim. I put a 20x10 rim on the truck to see what it looked like. but it stuck out too much for my taste.

Wait a minute....you guys are going to be my heros if you tell me I can mount a tire that states 8.5"to 10" wide rim on a 8" rim? It wont look stupid or pop off? Im putting 315/70/R17 on a 17x8 inch rim. Thats a 12.5 inch tire on an 8 inch rim. 4.5 inch difference wont look stupid?
