Lightning style wheels in a 6 bolt?
Lightning style wheels in a 6 bolt?
Anyone seen anything like this? I'd love to get the look of the lightning wheels on my truck, but can't seem to find one with the 6x135 pattern. Would a wheel adapter.spacer work? They make an adaptor that adapts a 6x135 to a 5x135, but I din't know about backspacing and/or strength. Any thoughts?

As an x Lightning owner ('03) just be aware of the fact that there are regular posts on the Lightning site flaming other F-150 owners who do anything to model a Lightning.............
I am just giving you a hard time, but don't be surprised if a photo of your F-150 ends up on the sight with some bashing going on.
Life's too short and who gives a ***** what anyone else thinks!
Good Luck in your search!

Ha ha ha...actually, I would have to agree with them, and would probably do the same once I get my own lightning. However, I think i'm ok since there isn't a lightning version of the new body style yet (love the concept truck though!). Besides, I'm actually trying to find something similar to the look of the lightning wheel. Just a simple five spoke design is all I want, so it doesn't have to be an actual lightning wheel or replica.
P.S. Why in the world did you get rid of your lighting!!!!???

Pioneerford,
Sometimes I ask myself that same question. I loved that truck, mind you I had her heavily modified and I was putting down 496/562 at the rear wheels - talk about a rush! The answer is on her or his way - yup a new addition to the family and the Lightning certainly doesn't have any room for a baby seat. Ah well on to bigger and better things. And although my FX4 doesn't have the bark I think it is an awesome truck.
Your question about the wheels struck me because I remember looking at the six bolt pattern thinking "hmnm that is going to be tought finding a decent aftermarket" - who knows maybe I am wrong, but I think your idea is a great one!
