cd-6

Hello

Here is a update on my mystery, pulled out the unit and traced the wire cluster leading to the cd/radio unit and found a splice containing 2 blue wires a black and gray/red wire a total of 4 wires with a plug on the end.

But get this, it is hooked up to nowhere, actualy it is connected to the back of my spare change holder.

Could this be the missing wires to my cd-6 player??

The plug is to small to fit the cd-6 unit however.

Thanks for feedback on this matter.

That 4-wire plug is for the subwoofer output. The "Audiophile" cd-6 unit has 3 plugs on the back of the radio, so that 4-wire plug goes into the Audiophile head unit only.

I was reading your other message posts. It seems strange that Ford would have radio models that are designed to work either with 1 plug only or 2 plugs. Are you sure there was not other big plugs on that wiring harness in your dash?

My FX4 Screw single cd player has 2 wire plugs on the back, and I also have that 4-wire plug taped back further down on the main dash wire harness.
