Question about Grille Guards and Bullbars

Does anyone know how these brush guards and bullbars affect the deployment of airbags in case of a front end collision? I have already made up my mind to get one, I just dont know if these affect the sensors in the bumper.

I hope this makes sense, Its late at night.

Makes sence. I don't think it would affect the airbag deployment.

Are the sensors in the bumper or in the frame forks on the front?

No they will not affect airbag deployment. Airbags are deployed by a sensor that it triggered by a sudden decerleration not by an impact to the front of the vehicle. I'm not exactly sure where the sensor is, but it would not be in the front bumper.

I think we need someone to install and brushguard, then take it into a tree.
Any takers?

I am all over that! You buy the brushguard, loan me YOUR truck, I will install it and then go find a nice pretty little tree! Hows that sound!
