is that the ford hi profile on the wrecked supercrew (which i hate to look at...)
I fixed the link...I think. Don't know how it got messed up, but part of it was missing.

There are some pics of my 04 in that link, but they aren't very good photos, and they don't really show much of the high profile deflector.

The shield on the wrecked truck was made by Lund. I think it was the Interceptor.

I've got the Ford low profile critter blocker on mine. So far, I like it. No weird noises or turbulence and it's done what it's supposed to do so far.

cheers. those pics work. the hi profile seems to have a 'stiffer' or more vertical pitch, as the name suggests...

thanks again to all for the great info as usual... this forum is a great resource....

It was a Bugflector II from AutoVentShade. Easy to clean under, I liked the looks but the noise and shake sucked ***.

I had an early (last October) Ford low profile and had the hood shake. Took it of for a while and started to get stones nicks. Got another one this year and had no problem with it. I'm beginning to think they may have modified it since last year, but I don't have the old one to compare to.

at first the parts guy at the dealer said he did not have the part numbers for the hi/lo ford shields i found on fordaccessories.com:

http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/...377&detail=yes

http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/...377&detail=yes

he wanted to sell me a shield that had a different (old?) part number.. but when i showed him the printouts he called his distributor and ordered the hi profile for me with the same part number as the one above.... will have it monday

btw, can anyone tell the difference between the two pictured above?

thanks again...

I don't have the bug shield but I have a wiper cowl which might help with the slapping. I have been a little faster and have heard nothing. They can be painted also check out the link.
