Question Opinions of Procomp tires

Everytime I go to 4 wheel parts I see that they have a sell on procomp tires. Are these tires any good? To me, the fact that they are always on sale means they aren't selling well and they are trying to push the product out the door. Thanks for your opinions.

hey sacteezy! I've had the 33x12.5/R17 ProComp A/Ts on my truck (factory wheels) for 500 miles and I'm very happy with them.....In fact, my wife has NO complaints about road/tire noise when riding in the truck.

My brother had the same tires on a lifted Explorer Sport and drove them for 40,000 miles....His opinion was what sold me on the ProComps.

Yeah they are actually good tires and very comparable to the BFG line (they copy all designs from them).
You pretty much get a great tire at a cheap rate, especially when you go with the all terrains. If you follow their rules they pretty much asure you of 50k miles.

I had the mud terrains on my 99 F250 SD that was lifted 6". They were a bit noisy, but I think they are quieter than my friends BFG M/T's. They didnt wear the best and were showing increased wear at around 15K miles. They were worn out by 20k miles. The dealership said it was due to pulling a 27ft trailer though and wearing the sidewalls out.

Thanks for the feedback Colby.

I guess my dilema is that I really like the way the BFG mud terrains look and I can't find another tire that I like as much as them. I noticed that the Pro Comps looked similiar. Oh well, I might just stick to the BFG's.

Thanks guys.

I would prsonally go with the Procomps new Xterrain if they made it in the size I want. I like their price, the wair isnt the best, but I think as long as I dont pull that heavy trailer (dont have it anymore) that I would be fine.

I agree though, BFGs M/T is an awesome looking tire! I wish they made it in the size I need!

I have 35" Procomp Xterrains and they have been great so far. I guess I have about 6000 miles on them so far and they seem to be wearing very well.

Those xTerrains looks pretty sweet as well. I do mainly street driving with some mud / snow wheeling about once a month. (snow only in the winter of course) I wonder if these tires are to soft. Ahh decisions, decisions.

Well bigsherm, thats a sweet looking truck. I think I like the way those tires look almost as much as the BFG M/T's...

P.S. Which dealer did you go to because i didn't see the "AMY" option when I bought my truck.
