Shake 'N' Brake, Kerplunk, Hesitate

I just dropped the '04 off tonight for Service tomorrow.

1. The brakes make the steering wheel shake when braking from moderate speeds.

2. The truck seems to make a weird shifting action when it shouldn't. For example, I'm cruising in 4th gear and all of a sudden something will give a little of a jump. Kind of like when you let off the gas just as the truck is shifting to a higher gear.

3. The hesitation off the line when hitting the gas, when going from a complete stop.

I asked for the reflash (Truck Built 9/03). Hopefully they will just do it and not pi$$ me off. Because I know they're not going to be able to verify my complaint since #'s 2 and 3 happen periodically. It's always the way.

So what happened?

1. They machined the front rotors.

2. The could not verify #'s 2 and 3. And then told me not to listen to anything I read on the internet. I suggested the reflash because I told them that I read about others on the internet who had gotten it done and it helped with the problem. I suggested it because I knew they would not be able to verify the problems. They told me that different trucks have different problems and build dates and I have got to stop reading the internet.

But they're keeping it one more day anyway and just for good measure will do the reflash.

I told them that I only check it when I have a problem, to see if someone else had the same problem and find out what the remedy was. All to assist them. And also to keep me from going back for no reason.
