SuperCab or SuperCrew ???

Guys, I currently have a 2004 F-150 FX4 SuperCab.

It has been decided that Ford will buy it back.

I would like the same truck, but would like to know if $2,000 x-tra for the SuperCrew is worth it? Maybe experiences, opinions, or whatever? Thanks Guys???

M if you carry more then two people often i would supercrew. My wife and i are the only one's to be in the truck most of the time. Usually just me back and forth to work. We use her Escape if we are going somewhere and someone rides with us. So the supercab fits our lifestyle.

Supercrew all the way. Extra space, great for passengers, and your doors won't fly open when you roll it in a horrific crash. Supercrew's are also easier to get in for short people as they have the extra grab-handles in back.

If you're questioning it now.... and you decide on a scab... you will wish you chose a screw the rest of your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I did on my last truck purchase. To convince you take a test drive with you in the back of a scab and then a screw. Your choice will be obvious quickly.

Unless of course you need the 6 1/2 foot bed

Don't know about the ATV, but I don't see why it wouldn't fit, even if you have to leave the tailgate down.

I chose the Super Crew because I have two teenagers. The Scab would've been a little cramped back there for them. Plus, I occasionally carry the Mother in Law, so for that reason alone it's nice to have the extra room

I like the way they look as well.

I had a 1999 super cab and found that the way the doors opened was just
to big of a pain for my use. I was hoping that the 04 would have doors like the dodge and maintain the 6.5 foot bed and still be short enough to fit in my garage.

I bought the SuperCrew based on my needs, although I will probably wish I had the extra foot in the bed.
I really need to be able to open the rear doors without opening the front doors.

I do not need the extra room in the cabin of the SuperCrew and almost bought the dodge, but hated the Dodges interior.

You will have to figure out what is best for your needs. I spent almost 5 years with the supercab and regretted not buying the crew. If I had bought the crew in 99 I would have keep it instead of buying the 04

That's funny my mother-in-law fits well in the bed of my truck. Oh wait, that came out wrong, I'm not saying she is a big woman, but that's where I'd rather she be. Hope my wife doesn't see this.

I had a ranger before my screw. I wanted bigger, so I went as big as I could with the 150's. Also, I didn't care much for the seat belt tie downs on the front seats of the scabs.

Rebates...

The 2 trucks I was looking at had a M.S.R.P. spread of $2000, and the rebate is $500 less. So $2500 more. Besides the ATV, the smaller bed would be fine.

Normally, I use the truck for commuting around 60 miles a day by myself. I do see kids in the next few years, but now I am not sure if I need the room for $2500? I did have a bad experience with mine in Cincinnati. It's a bitch to get out of the SCAB in crowded parking lots with 4 people in the truck...

Can I have another question answered... I am a red or black fan...

My truck is currently red... Should I get the red again or go for black???

Keep in mind that the rear seat in the supercrew and the supercab are identical. My son has a supercab and I have a supercrew. You have more leg room in the supercrew. Either way they are pretty good trucks.

Man, I'd be stirring up a big hornets nest if I did that! The wife would make me sleep outside

That's a nice pic of your truck there. You down on the Outer Banks somewhere. I used to do a lot of surf fishing down in Avon/Buxton. How's she do in the sand?

MJ,

My truck is currently red... Should I get the red again or go for black???
If you were getting the Lariat, I'd go for the Toreador Red with Az. Beige trim.

All the questions youre asking are things you should be asking yourself, i think youre trying to find someone to give you the answer here, Everyones input is different, Do what i did the first time i bought my very FIRST Ford F-150...... Take a piece of paper, Write the Pro's and Cons of Both the Supercrew, and the Supercab, Space, Style, Etc, Etc.....which do YOU feel looks better? Fits your needs, Write all that down into the pro's and cons that will fit your life style trust me youll come up with the answer..... As for red and black, i think that depends for you my friend, How often do you wash your truck? i washed mine 1/2 times a week.... i had black, but i didnt mind because its the one thing during the whole week i felt proud of when i was finished with.... Its like an acomplishment making a black truck shine again after its been driven on highways and through construction in the city..... All that dirty and bug juju just makes it look bad Just write down the pro's and cons on those as well..... if you dont get your answer, Come back to us, We'll all slap you around a bit for fun and help you decide some more

i'd go with black of the two..... even though its a pain to keep clean, it looks best when all washed up!

go for the supercrew!! You'll get that quad in there, really no quad is 6.5' right?! should fit in the 5.5" bed and you can always drop the gate and get a bed extender. now that i think of it, i had my z400 in an s10 with room to spare... 6' bed

That pic is from carolina beach, down near wilmington. I have taken her out on the OBX. Truck did great, didn't have to deflate the tires but did go through a 1/4 tank of gas.
