new to the boards and a towing question
Whats up everyone, im new to the board. Just recently purchased an 04 silver fx4 supercrew with the stock 18" rims. How much of a drop are you guys using for your tow hitch. from hitch to ball thanks!!
I think that, your not getting too many responses because it depends on the trailer.
Your best bet is to measure up the trailer and then the truck. I got a '03, and I use a adjustable mount, the snowmoblie trailer sits lower then the boat trailer. So there is really no standard answer. It depends on the trailer.

Hey TSC
Why don't you change your signature to something that relates to this site...like a pic of your truck.
Putting a signature that pings everyones front door and posts info about us is just going to **** someone off

First, I would like to say sorry for hijacking your thread and thank you TSC for correcting my poor manners. A private message should have been used.
In response to your question. I put a 3" drop for a 6 x 10 utility trailer on my Lariat. As long as the trailer is level when attached to truck, you should be fine.
If you plan on towing something heavy, you should check with the trailer manufacturer.
