Dumb Question?

ok guys and gals bare with me. ive been away from trucks for about three years now. i just bought an 04 scab stx 4.6 and i dont see any spark plugs or wires. whats the deal. no im not an idiot. help me

Maybe Ford forgot to install them on your truck!

New fords use coils in lieu of conventional plug wires. Different ignition system.

so the round things next the injectors are the coils?

I was looking at that the other day, do the coils wear out and need to be replaced like normal plug wires? Looks like it would be tough to replace them looking at it...

nope. the coils do not have to be replaced. They only need to be replaced on a need-basis. if you take care of your truck, you would prob never have to replace them ever.

You only have to worry about them if you are getting misfires and you have already replaced the plugs and still getting misfires. That happended on my Stang.
