Will A memory reflash fix this

Long story, Have 5000 miles on the truck and dealer would not cover the alignment or tire balance for bedshake, called the Ford help line and now dealer is covering everything because of them being Jerks I also asked for a mem reflash to fix this:

The truck, on occassion, will shift at very weird points. Going 5mph in traffic and it will stay in 1st for a minute for so then dumps gears and it will feel like it went into neutral (I didn't but that is what the power loss feels like) Well, Thursday it did this at about 60 mph. Scared me cause I though the engine had died in the grand old 275 /71 split area of Cincinnati. It didn't come back up to speed very quickly either when I gave it sufficient gas Will the reflash fix the shifting problems? Or do I need them to check the codes. This problem only happens once or twice a week and I doubt the dealer could reproduce it. I am also hoping the reflash will fix the 0-10mph horrible operating throttle response.

I recently had a reflash done on my truck and it seemed to fix alot of the quirks it had. My truck also had sluggish throttle response at low speed, sometimes it would surge horribly with light pressure on the throttle. The reflash, I would say cured the shift problems I had, before it was done I could push the throttle and it would take a few seconds for it to come up to speed. I didn't even feel a downshift like there's supposed to be when you want to pass or accelerate quickly. Now when I push the throttle it downshifts and moves like it should have all along. I would have it reflashed, it's covered by warranty and you have nothing to lose by having it done.

Ditto, I have had the reflash done to my 5.4l 3V Std. Cab Flareside F-150 with good results. I noticed the difference immediately after picking up the truck from the dealer. The throttle response was improved, but, still not great. However, the transmission shift points really changed for the better.

I use my truck to haul a car trailer all over the country and the improved shifting really makes the task easier. Especially at high altitude, where I need the flexibility to anticipate hills by stepping down on the accelerator pedal and kicking down the gearing in the transmission to maintain speed. The truck now has three distinct kickdown points as the accelerator pedal is depressed which is especially useful when hauling in the Colorado mountains.

Overall, I think the reflash has made the truck much more of a pleasure to drive! I can live with some standing start hesitation, it may even help the tires to last a bit longer.

My truck was built in 9/03 and was delivered late in October. I believe the reflash is effective for all F150's built until spring 04 (April 04). If you need to go in to have the truck serviced and are complaining about hesitation, you should have the reflashed. Of course its free and will not affect the warranty.

The service manager should be willing to do this without any hassles. So far the dealer has been very good about doing anything necessary to keep me happy. I'm sure they know I will be back to buy other vehicles in the future.

How could your truck have been built 9/04 and delivered in October 04, when it is still September 2004 currently. Just noticed that, I assume you meant 9/03????
