Tracking rail car status for my '05 order

Does anyone know what this means? Does "Placed at Industry" mean the rail ride is done? Mesquite is a suburb of Dallas, so that would make sense...

Nanners coming soon!!!!

Looks to me like you'll be in your new ride very soon! Have some nanners....

Can't wait to see the pics when you get it. Maybe you'll be the first with an '05 picture gallery.

Justis01,

Any word on your truck? I know you were worried that it would be December before you got it.

I'm pretty impressed with the speed of my order so far. It was built Monday 9/20 and as of Friday around noon it has already been shipped via rail AND unloaded here in Dallas. Just waiting for it to get to the dealership now - if I'm really lucky, it'll be tomorrow. That's gotta be some kind of record...

It is my understanding that the 2005's have not been authorized to be released to dealers yet. I might be wrong, but we have them lined up outside the plant and they aren't even working us 8 hours a day.

No. I haven't been back to my daeler yet to ask about it. I was going to check out some accesories last week, but I had to sit home and wait for contractors to have some work done on my house. Heh Heh, SWMBO took a nice chunk out of my down payment for that

Hey, you're probably going to be building my Aspen Green Lariat. I guess they're waiting for the dealers to sell off all of their '04's?

I checked with VOPC today and my salesman called me to tell me the same thing - it had been produced and was on a rail car on its way to Dallas. By checking the Union Pacific site, I see that it has made it here and the rail car has been unloaded. I don't know why I'd be special, so looks like at least some dealers are getting their trucks.

Here's my info:

Black with Black leather captains chairs
Audiophile
Power adj pedals
Heated seats

Skid plates
Bed extender
Bright tubular running boards
Tow package
Reverse sensing system

Well, I believe they are shipping some by rail, but they will probably sit at the railyard or a nearby location until they release them to dealers. I would imagine that until they sell more of the 2004's sitting on dealers lots AND the engineers agree that all the bugs are worked out, they won't release them. Considering the incentives end Sept. 30 it will most likely be after the 1 of October before we see a release of the 2005's.

I stopped by my dealership a few minutes ago to take a peek at the newly unloaded vehicles way in the back - *just in case* my truck got delivered (wishful thinking).

Well, it wasn't there but I counted at least 5 2005 F150s. The window sticker said they were 2005s and 2 were SCREWs built in KC week of 9/7 - according to Blue Oval News, this was the first week of production (JOB1) at KC.

There were also LOTS of 2005 Explorers and Expeditions. The Explorer has a cool new pearl-looking color that I hadn't ever seen.

So I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will be there tomorrow - but should be Monday at the latest.

Let the sleepless nights begin....

Amen to that! I can wait, but I have to admit when I see a new '04 Screw going down the road, it's hard to keep driving my 20 year old rattle trap
