I was sittin in the dentists office today and.....

....reached for a Time magazine. Found an ad for the new F150.. It said the F150 has hit an all-time sales record- 898,222 trucks sold between 9/1/03 - 8/31/04. The ad read: "Thats one out the door every 35 seconds". Wow! It also went on to say it is the best-selling truck for an unprecedented 27 years in a row.... (and every time I slip behind the wheel of mine I know why!)

I feel the same way, the quality of this truck is awsome. I've been in luxury cars that didn't have this level of ride comfort, and it will tow 14 grand! Ford has come a long way in the quality of their vehicles, the F150 deserves all the accolades.

I agree, this is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned.

The interior is outstanding in my truck. I can't find one flaw, loose thread or crooked seem anywhere in the cabin.

The truck is so quiet and smooth. The first two days I had it I thought the engine died when when coming to a stop a few times.

This is the only vehicle I have ever owned where i turn the stereo down because I want to hear that 5.4 roar as I pull away from a stoplight. For the first week after I bought it I too thought it had stalled at a couple of stop signs (kept looking for any lit dummy lights to tell me the engine quit!) all I had to do was plant my foot and the two patches of rubber assured me she was still runnin'.

My new f150 xlt regular cab with the 4.6 ls rear axle is The Best Car or Truck I have ever drive. I have driven some nice stuff too. It's a truck taken to the next level. It's got a smooth ride but not car like. It's quiet, It's manly and it's a truck. I couldn't be any happier.

Although the only flaw I have is the throttle response. I think ford needs to look into that. It just sticks out like a swore thumb with a truck this nice.

i must agree ford is the best....Ford was my last pickup choice before i got my truck. I looked at dodge hated them i looked at chevys no way i am going to pay extra 5 grand for a truck (97 Chevy 1500 Reg Cab SL step side with 140,000 guy wanted 12k that about avarage for around hear). So then i went and test drove the truck i have now and you know what that night i called the guy and tould him he just sold his truck i was hooked and will always own a ford truck . I love it and should have test drove one sooner. But i was not convenced they were all that great even thought my family has had many dodge that where ok. No chevys and a ford i beat the unholy tar out of it been a good 3 foot in the air and spunn side ways and has had the undercarge sparked up and will been in 6 accidents and that car is still going it invnible it cant be killed i tell you its nick named the tank cause of all this. So if ford can build a car that is just about invinsible you know they can build a truck 10 times better so that why ford is always #1

Yep. I was back in there yesterday for a couple of VERY small fillings and a cleaning.

The only positive to the dentist where I'm going is that 'SHE' is very attractive and, the helpers that are running around there are very energetic and have great personalities... okay, I admit it, they're cute too. LOL!

My take on this '04 FX4 SCab....

1. Ride's like a Lincoln

2. Performs like a Mustang

3. Works like a truck

Can't beat that combo in my mind. Great rig Ford came up with....Bless the engineering boys!!!

b/s or not it is normal for the type of pads Ford is using, and top it off trying to stop a 6000 lb truck and you get brake dust. They arent the only ones using pads of this type either. Other manufacturers are also doing this, look around at other vehicles on the roads around you and you will see many other cars and trucks with this same dust on their front wheels more than their rear. About the only way around this is to pop for you own brake pads made of a different material.
