Drove an 04, get mine soon!

Today I headed down to my dealer and drove an 04 F150.

Very impressive I must say! Drove nice, loved the interior.

Power was so so, not slow, not quick.

Loved the moonroof, seats, everything except a major rear window rattle. Sounded like a huge thud over bumps.

However, got a nice price on a 04 FX4 Screw in black. Looking at about 340$ a month.

Go for it....

Just have them fix the rattle before you sign.

HOT! Yeah, a little rattle is not a problem! Fix & your golden! Once thing I notice when driving the trucks before the dealer prepped them was a lot of little rattles.. not sure why, but they have something back there from the factory!

Have some 'nanners:

Not to throw cold water on the FX4 deal, but I would not buy any new vehicle with rattles. If you got your heart set on that particular truck get the salesperson to get the truck over to service and fix it before you make the buy. Rattles can be a bugger to fix sometimes, it will drive you crazy in the 04’s because of how quiet, and smooth they ride. Make the fix a pre-condition to the sale.

That truck was a Supercab, the one I'm going to most likely buy is a SuperCrew. Will test drive that one too.

BEst of all, ill be paying 15$ less a month for this truck than my Supercab 03!
