How much storage room is behind the seat of the 04 regular cab? I have a 97 S-Cab right now but I never have any passengers. I just like the extra room to throw stuff back there. Do you think I could get by with a regular cab truck?

My first truck when I was 16 was a reg cab. I swore I'd never own another regular cab again. Next one was an extended cab. Then a blazer. Guess what I have now? a regular cab 04. The extra space back there made the difference for me. You really should check one out in person if you never have before. My seats are the whole way back , and I can still easily fit a full size toolbox behind the seat. anything but an 04 f150, I'd be in an extended cab again.

 

I don’t have a regcab but I checked them out. They got a lot of room behind the seat compared to all other regcabs, almost as much as extended cabs of yesteryear.

 

Plenty of room, i throw my tool box, bag, nitrous bottle, everything back there

 

I'm with these guys I have plenty of room behind the seats as well, I was hesitant before I bought the reg cab but I figured I have no kids so there isnt really a need for back seats yet!

 

John... I have the reg. cab XL, 8 ft bed..... I originally bought it as a replacement for my ageing work truck (160,000) but guess what.. its too nice... so.... its now my daily driver and the ol' work horse is still workin The large amount of space behind the seats is always coming in handy. At first, when the new body style came out, I had laughed at those "tiny" rear doors... no more laughing now. Lots of room for our camping gear freeing up the bed for bikes, firewood, etc. Hope this helps.

 

I'm 6'4" and 315lbs and I can put all of my Radio control gear behind me and still have plenty of room. I really like the reg cab.

Trust me I am coming from an Excursion and I feel like I have the same amount of room around me as I did in the beast.
