The Sylvania Silverstars (3157) are the ones. They have the silver look to them, but light up amber. I ended up buying mine at the local Pep Boys for $22. I'm sure you could find them cheaper online.

just making sure you get what you want. i dont know what they are using now a days to coat the silver bulbs, but i know that its safe, over on the ranger forums there are lots of guys who use them with no problems. i like the silverstars myself though. easier to get ahold of. advance auto parts sell them too

You would probably be interested in getting LED bulbs. They are clear yet they light up amber and are brighter than any other bulb. Myself, I have the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs, I like the look of them better than it just being clear!

so are you guys saying the silverstar still shows some color, but just not as much as stock bulb? and the other brand that moss sells is completely clear?

sorry, just trying to make sure i know what each bulb is.

there are pics of both in this thread, if you look at my sig, those are silverstars. they are amber bulbs with a blue coating. so sometimes you still see some orange, as you can see in my sig. gordo posted a pic of his silver ones, which are available online and through moss motors. i dont know what the silver ones look light when lit, but the silverstars look just like normal amber bulbs when lit
