Last Minute Buying Advice

This is my first post, but I appreciate and have learned a great deal from all the information posted here. I am very close to pulling the trigger on an '04 FX4 SuperCrew. Local dealers are offering approx. $10k off list when you include discount, rebates, Ford financing, etc. My first choice is dark shadow grey, but I may have to settle for white or black(most of the greys seem to be gone around here). I have read about the vibration problem and will be alert to that on my test drive. Should I try to find a truck built as recently as possible? Any other general advice or buying tips would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to the big step up from my current '99 Chevy Silverado. Thanks in advance for any help.

Congrats and welcome to Ford country but hurry up and pick one.

I have an 04 Lariat 4x4 and I haven't felt a shudder. Actually with the new ride of the 04's, I hardly feel the bumps in the road...what a great ride.

There have been a few posts about vibration problems but if you keep reading, it looks to be only a select few. Take it for a good 45 minute test ride and if you don't feel it now, you won't have to worry about it later.

Enjoy and don't forget to post some pic's.

I’ve had my truck since 10-24-03 and haven’t had any trouble with it at all, it’s perfect, everything’s good. It was built in the Kansas City plant 9-03

Rock has been my nickname from early years. My father said it was appropriate to call me that since I was so hardheaded. I guess it could have been worse.

Great... 2 rocks... Rocks are gonna start mulitplying like those Jersey guys...

Anywho, don't worry about the vibe. Drive your truck before you sign the papers to ensure all is well, then go for it. Don't fall for the rust proofing or paint protection!

Enjoy your soon-to-be new rig!!! These trucks are SWEET!!

Welcome Rock that Shadow Gray is like a rare animal in the forest. But what ever you choose you will be happy no vibes in mine but it cha cha's. Which i'm getting used to. The ride and comfort is astounding like no other F150. Now if i could get my wife to drive it i'd get another one .
