T-case skid is hanging too low..

Our F150 T-case skid is hangin to low...I m thinkin about some custom fab flat 1/4" thick metal to give some good clearence for off roading and beach.

ANy advice ?

ONly thing I can think of is to make sure it's removable like the stock one. Could make it a PITA if you have to do some repair work or anything down there.
