Passenger Side Carpet Soaked

Recently I discovered the carpet on the passenger side was soaked. There was also water on the floor mat. Anyone else have this problem and has anyone taken it in to see what it might be?

Do you have a moon roof? If yes, check the drain holes, they may be draining slow. Every vehicle I've had with a moon roof I would blow air through them about twice a year.

A/C evaporator may have a drain hose that came loose or plugged up.

If you have a Scab like I do, my children did not close the back door good and when it rained it leaked in. Check to see if there is water in the back door, you will see drops of water.

I am betting on the drain hose from the AC. If that is the problem, God help you! I had the same problem with a Jeep Grand Cherokee and fought to get it fixed (I know, that was Jeep). Here is what I got done, after A LOT of yelling:

Carpet replaced.
Remove and dry interior.
Bolts replaced that were wet/rusting.
Interior passenger side floor sprayed with sealant.

You have to get the carpet replaced because the smell will get going after a couple of hot days and drive you crazy!

Regards,

another vote for the hvac system. either heatercore or loose hose is usually the culprit.
