I am putting stainless fender lip molding on my XLT, Ext Cab 4x4 5.4L this weekend. Unfortunately these do require some drilling. Does anyone have any good way of protecting the fender once I have drilled these holes? I don't want to create a rust point, I'm thinking spray can undercoating.

Any ideas are appreciated.

what about the touch up paint you can get at the dealer? use it on either side of the hole.
