Ok, back to my question: Where is the best place to tap into 12 volt for the positive wire for this signal booster?

One thing you can do is hook it up in conjunction with the wire on your radio. Tap into it so when you turn the car on and the radio goes on, so does the power to the antannea..

You can find them by looking at the wireharness on the radio. What I did on my other vehicle was used a wire tester. One that has a pointy end on it and a light bulb or something when you find the wire. What I did was use this tester on each wire, with the car in off position, then turned it to the AUX position. The wire will then be "live" and you can tell which one comes on with the car. OR, I guess you could find some schematics and figure it out that way.

sacteezyjoe,
You may want to run a seperate ground from the truck chasis to the radio chasis if you are still having problems.

juniorFX4,

Sounds like you know little about electrical systems, or installing a radio. I suggest you find one of your buddies that has installed stereo and have him help you. This is a very easy job. Most of your time will be spent taking the dash apart.

I installed my Pioneer Premiere 940MP (was a $900 head unit) and the reception still sucks...
