That’s your upper control arm hitting the coil spring.

That's what I figured. Is that what everyone is experiencing as a norm with the daystars?

I don’t know the answer about the Daystar’s. I can tell you that the 2 ½” AutoSpring does the same thing (upper control arm bump) but the 1 ½” AutoSpring doesn’t hit. You get 2 ¼” of lift from the 1 ½” AutoSpring lift kit.

I haven't heard anything unusual. But then again, I'm not really listening. I'll *try* to keep the stereo down for a bit and give a listen.

jpdadeo,

So no hitting on your kit right? I am almost sold on the auto spring kit. Did you put it on, or have some place install it for you?

Anything you don't like about it...?

Thanks,

The AutoSpring 1 ½” kit worked out perfect for me. Gave me 2 ¼” of lift. The end result was the front is 1” lower than the rear, perfect I think. I had my local shop do the installation ($65. bucks) and laser align the front end ($59.95) The best part of the AutoSpring is you don’t loose the factory soft ride because the springs aren’t compressed.

And definitely nothing is hitting, everything is perfect.

After taking a closer look, I'm pretty sure it's not the control arms hitting the spring. The rubber/plastic that coats the springs has not a scratch and with the metal control arms hitting it, it would most definately have a scratch or some sign of contact.

I just spoke to the guy at autospringcorp.com and he was explaning why some folks are claiming more lift that his kit advertises. The toe-in of the tires is changed when installing the kit, they are not sitting flat so the truck sits higher. The truck must be aligned after installation. Then the truck will ride at the claimed lift height. They only claim being able to clear 33" tires, 35's will fit but will probably rub depending on where your steering lock to lock limiter is set. I'm buying this kit today instead of the daystars just for my own peace of mind. I've heard rave reviews about both kits.

The lift is 2 ¼” from the 1 ½” Autospring kit after alignment

This lock to lock limiter anyone know if it is adjustable . I got the daystar kit in mine and when hitting furthest turning point and slow cornering I get a little squeal noise and the truck feels like she dips down on one side a bit too much . I looked for steering stops on the spindles none to be found . I would like to take a slight bit off my turning radius to see if this corrects the oversteering problem .
