Thinking about getting their soft tonneau cover for my (yet to be built) F-150 SuperCrew. I'd like to know how you like it and see some pics if possible.

I have one and really like it. Fits great and I haven't had any leaks
or any problems. The only complaint might be it can be a little hard to get the cover to lock into the rail but with practice it gets easier. The supports all come out easy and I like the fact I can open and close the tailgate without removing the cover.

FYI Summit racing has the Tekstyle snap cover for $199. I love mine. Looks just as good if not better than the Ford one.

 

I have it also. (sorry no pics yet) It is a pretty nice cover, no leaks and looks good. I would get the snapless one. It has a double track that locks the cover in place. The only thing I personally dont like is the way the rear portion of it sags when I drive on the highway. I had a ford cover on my 99 f150 and it didnt sag at all. It stayed tight all the time where as the one on my 04 sags. All in all I like it.

 

Thanks again for the input and the pics! I like the bedmat I saw posted in one of the galleries. I think I'm going to get one of those as well.

ya i think the bed mat kinda rocks ( if i do say so myself ) i have
since put the tailgate protector on too.. just take your time if your loading things in that you don't ding the sides and it's an excellent comb and look. though i have decided that i'm gonna save some pennies and swap my soft cover for a hard tonneau
by undercover ( it's thin and black )

 

I look for the hard fiberglass fit, painted, it brings the truck to a smooth look. It's just my opinion but it also brings a great trade in value for the new F150's coming out. New LoRider will be here on 8/31/04 fingers crossed on the new bodied flare.

 

Anyone have pics/reviews of the Ford soft cover without the snaps? One dealer told me they have a tendancy to come loose while driving.

Anybody have this problem?

 

I was talking to a fellow F150 owner on the weekend and he said there was some kind of lawsuit over them. Apparently, the story is one came loose, flew into the windsheild of the car behind, car crashed and now theres a lawsuit.


Dont know how true this is, but anything is possible.

 

Ouch! Guess I'll definitely be getting the one with the snaps. Do they have to drill holes in the bed sides to install the snaps?

no drilling. frame is "C" clamped to the bed rails.

 

Thats a bunch of CRAP!!! The front part of the snapless cover is attached to the front rail which is clamped down to the bed. The cover would have to be undone on all three sides and be flapping around at 60 mph for a long time before that cover ripped off and flew off the truck. I think thats just a BS story.I had the cover on my 99 f150 for 3 years and now have had one on my 04 for 9 months and not one single problem with the cover coming off at all on either truck. I sometimes leave the part above the tailgate undone so I can carry long pieces of wood molding or whatever and let them hang out, and it doesnt come undone. I say go with the snapless, its cleaner looking, no snaps to mess with and it to requires no drilling. Just 6 clamps and your set.

I just bought and installed a TRUXEDO Lo-Profile soft tonneau, very happy with it, no leaks, very tight, ribs roll-up with the cover, and you can't see the ribs like some others.
PS Bought it on EBAY for $369.00 delivered.
