Build date pushed back for '05 F150

Well, I ordered my first truck a few weeks ago - a 2005 Screw Lariat 4x4.

And just as I was bragging about my 9/13 build date, its been pushed back. I've been checking VOPC almost daily (yes, I am anxious). It got serialized (VIN) just a few days after order and right away I had a build date of 9/7 (first week KC plant opens). I was amazed, as you can imagine!

Then a few days later the build date was pushed back to 9/13. It stayed this way for at least 2 weeks.Today I called and the build date is now 9/20!

Can anyone explain this? And will this keep getting pushed back? I read the post of another that ordered recently and was told mid-december. Yikes! I hope that's not where my order is headed...

Any insight you have would be greatly appreciated!

I was thinking...maybe my dealer is placing orders for his stock and their priority code is lower than mine? Does that make sense? Would that push out my build date?

Delay

Well, we went from working 8 hrs a day to 9 last week, 10 this week and next. What they are telling us is that the new plant in Michigan is not putting out the numbers they want so they bumped up production here. Also, the local teamsters who load the trucks onto the traincars have been on strike for a week now. We are parking trucks all over KC and my understanding is they cannot ship them. So this might delay all future build dates for awhile.
