Power Windows

I have a new 2004 F150 FX4 ext cab. 1.5 doors on each side. (not sure what they call it. IE Super Crew ?)

My question is this. I'm sure like the rest of you guys with power windows the only one that has the "auto" down feature is the drivers window.

A. Is there a way to make it so they can all "auto" down. Even if I do it just on the drivers side console.

B. Is there a way to make them auto up ?

I guess you can say I'm lazy but all of the Imports ( my girls BMW ) has both auto up and auto down.

I checked on it a few years ago wanting to do this mod. You cannot buy just that one auto-down switch. You have to buy the whole pod. The dealership told me it would be $75 so I did not worry about it anymore.

You might could try the boneyard for a cheap switch. If you listen carefully with the auto-down, there is a little bit of noise coming from the drivers side floor board. There is a "computer" of sorts back there. I know power lock are controlled there. With the noise, it makes me think windows are also tied in there. If so, it would be more than changing a switch out...

Good question, sacteezyjoe. I would be interested in this as well.
My wife has the auto up and down on her highlander drivers side door. Nice feature. I have never seen or heard of this feature on other doors. Please let us know what you find out.

There is a module that allows for auto up/down designed to be used on the older F150's. I was planning to purchase, but now I have an 04, so I am in the process of searching for the answer. I just wonder if the old module could be wired into the newer truck???

auto up and down on all the windows would be pretty nice, would definitely be interested in that if you could do it with the exising switches/or in the place where the original switches are...

For the best prices on Autoloc stuff contact auto_techs on ebay and tell melinda that I sent you from F150online. I don't get anything, but they'll take good care of you and give you the best prices anywhere.
