I think a lot of guys had that problem with the 18s. I think some even kicked back down to the 17s and bought tires for those.
Check out company websites like, Nitto, Pro Comp, BFG, Cooper, Michelin. I think the best is BFG, and Procomp for tire quality to cost.

Nitto Terra Grapplers come in a 285/30/18 which is basically a 33x12.5

You can also search on 1010tires . com They have a great way to search. YOu can search for 18" rims only and leave the treadwidth and profile blank.

Nitto Terra Grapplers come in 285/60-18, 325/60-18 and 325/65-18. I beleive the 285's are close to a 32x11.50 and the 325's are basically 34x13.50's and 35x13.50's. The 325's are a little too wide for the stock 7.5 inch wide rims though.

OK... to squelch the rumors.

Check all the tire sites... including Nitto.. and the wheel sizes for tires are recommendations. I have been to several tire shops and each one said the same thing:

No issues with putting the 325/60/18 on the stock 18" wheel.

So... whithout further ado, that is what I did - Nitto Terra Grapplers 325/60/18 @ 50psi. I LOVE it. The ONLY rubbing I get is at full lock (turning) but I never do that anyway and just back off a bit.

I cannot tell you how many compliments I have recieved in regards to the truck and how it looks. Not to mention I have the Daystar 2.5 inch leveling kit. I did not want to go more aggressive as it has about 1 inch of clearance at the most in height as I enter the garage. I also wanted the wife to be able to get the little one in and out of it.

The ride is great and I do not feel I sacrificed a thing for ride quality. If anything it feels as though it handles a bit better with the wider footprint.

I also have a friend running 35X12.5 on his stock 18" and has no complaints.

Just had to throw that in there from somone who has done it.

Here is another shot for ya...

As far as paperwork, I got a complete road hazard warranty with them. All things are on the up and up with this setup. They even had a conversion table that determined the air pressure I should be running for that wheel/tire combo with a D load rating.

Thanks for the compliment dzervit... I like the setup too.

That was my biggest thing too dzervit... I did not want to front the cash for new wheels at the moment.

When the day comes I have an extra grand... I will pop for the 18x9s that I want... until then I like the stock wheel and this thing looks a lot more aggressive.

By the way dzervit.... I got 35$ a tire for my stocks with 10K miles on them when I made this purchase. Plus the place knocked off 40 bucks a tire before that... tire is normally $240 and I got it for about $160.

Just as an FYI....

In case you missed it... this wheel tire combo is with the Daystar Leveling Kit - 2.5 inches of rise in the front.

I would hate for someone to run out and buy these tires without the lift and have rubbing issues... cause I am not sure if you would or not.

Secondly... I got the leveling kit, install, 4wheel alignment, tires, mounted, balanced, road hazard, for a grand total of $1100.

I think this is a great deal considering I found BFGs All Terrain KOs for about 240 a tire! - 285/60/18

Hope this helps.
