Installed Westin signature series nerf bars - black.

Are they difficult to install

I have been thinking about getting a set for my truck, are they difficult to install?

They were very easy to install and I am the most un-mechanical person you'll ever meet

My Westin's are about 4 months old and the paint has come off the top of the back bracket and down the edge a little.

It mostly came off in one piece.... now it is all rust.

The pic is blurry, but you get the idea.'

I've got the Ford Black Nerf Bars on mine. Very easy install. Very, very.

13,000 miles on mine, been covered in salt water many times, no chipping whatsoever. Prices are similar to Westin and you can pick them up from your dealer. I don't have a favorite, but I like mine the best

Has anybody tried the BackCountry stainless step bars? I was told the BackCountry won't chrome them because of issues of chipping, flaking, etc.

What's the difference between the Westin "signature series" and "platinum series"?
Thanks!

Platinum series have a lifetime warranty (even on finish), and are stainless steel underneath the chrome or black coating.

At $ 210.00 + free shipping, worth every penny.
