F-150 Question

I know that the GM products are coming out with a 2005 Semi Hybrid. The thing gets awesome fuel mileage with roughly 30 mpg. Is Ford going to come out with one? Any insight on the 2006 Ford F-150? I know that the 2005 is little change but what about the 2006 or beyond? Any insight will be appreciated.

Dodge is coming out with a new 4.0L to challenge the Mustang engine! It is called the "Semi Hemi" HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

Not on the radar for '05, haven't heard news for '06. I don't think full-sized hybrids can deliver real work-truck performance. We'll see how GM's truck pans out.

Correct me if I am wrong... but isn't Ford introducing a hybrid Escape in 05 MY? If so, that may be Ford's leading indicator into putting the hybrid idea into a full size.

The idea makes sense for a lot of the work trucks I see out there who are probably spending a fortune on gas these days with all the running around they do.

I heard that the GM semi-hybrid is going to use the electrical part only at idle, dosn't seem to me like that will be enough to get 30 mpg. Anyone hear anything about it?

Clear - Yes, they did release an Escape Hybrid. I don't think that's any sign they are working on a F150 hybrid. If anything, I'd expect a Focus/500 Hybrid before an F150.

I watched a show last week about hybrids and GM has 5 mini vans operating in the DC area that are hydrogen.
