Anyone hear of an LED 3rd brake light yet for our 04s?

No, bit I would be very interested! Have you checked eBay? I remember seeing quite a few LED bulb replacements there.

I don't think just a bulb replacement would do it. It would have to be the whole assembly and focused properly.
