I cant tell you all the differences, but the deck is different, the speakers are different they also have seperate tweeters, the audiophile also has a sub with built in amp.
You may be able to swap decks out, but unless you replace everything it really wouldnt be worth it IMOO. Its cheaper to get it when you order, or buy aftermarket.

I am not sure but I think the only difference in the HU is the Audiophile can pick up radio song titles and station names on the display.

The only difference between the 6-disc changer and audiophile is in the speakers. You have to have the 6-disc changer in order to get the audiophile. The audiophile gets you a subwoofer and 2 tweeters in addition to the standard 4 door speakers. When you order Audiophile, you automatically upgrade to the 6-disc in dash head unit.
I personally love te Audiophile and think it is one of the best stock systems I've ever heard. It's more than enough for me!

^ you're wrong, the 2 head units are different. The regular 6-disc head unit does not have the extra features of the Audiophile head unit, like the RDS (radio call letters/name), DSP, and the 3rd plug on the back for the subwoofer.

oh, I see, the song titles don't scroll across. Mine doesn't either. But I had Audiophile package in my Sport Trac before this truck, and it showed the song titles on a few stations, but not on this new F150 radio???
