I was checking my oil today and decided to look at the tranny fluid even though the truck had been off for an hour. The fluid level on the dip stick was above the hot region and off the plastic indicator. Is this normal? The truck had been off for more than an hour and I checked it three times. Also my brake fluid is to full so some fluid leaks out and the oil indictor is above the full line as well.

Let the truck sit overnight before checking tranny fluid.

It gets very hot and cools slowly.
