Ok, help me out with chirp!
Ok, help me out with chirp!
Ok, My chirp is getting a little more noticeable. It's hard to tell where it's coming from under the rear, Because it's under the rear!! To me it sounds like a old nissan pickup. they always had this chirp when ever they hit bumps.
It makes this noise when ever I hit a sharp bump. So, I can't find it while the truck is sitting still. I get in the back and have the wife drive down the road. It sounds like it's coming from somewher under the bed? I guess when I take the truck to have the oil changed I will have them look for it.
Trucks doing great so far. I got the truck 8/8/04 and now have 1250 miles on it. I still can't belive that the engine was only built on 7/23/04!!

To ad one more thing. It's loud! I thought that it was quiet. Until I rode through a tunnel with the windows down. then rode around in the back. It's pretty loud. Sounds like an 1974 ford truck rattle or chirp. You can't hear it if you have the windows up and the radio on.
Oh well, I guess no one has had the same problem. I'll find out myself. Going to half to get under the truck while going down the road!! geezzz guys'

tuff, I haven't thought about that! Will try.
I have tried jumping up and down on the truck and rocking the truck. I can't get it to make the sound. I'm going to try the tire this evening.

chirp
i have that same chirp whenever i hit a bump and its really pissing me off. but i have determined that its coming from the front end and it sounds like it may be the break calipers or something in that region because when i apply the breaks and hit the same bump it dont chirp, i circle around and do it again without applying the brakes and sure as hell it does it. im thinking it could also be the break pads or something. let me know if you find a fix. service department at local ford dealship dont seem to think its an issue but it sure is annoying me

~Anyway~
After I got the damaged tire back on (after being patched) and put the spare in it's place, I noticed that the spare is 'cranked' back into place. I don't know if it would 'chirp', but 'rattle' maybe.
Well it wasn't the tire. must just be the bushings. i got it to do it while jumping on the bumper. I guess jumping in the bed just wasn't in the right spot. Oh well. If it doesn't clear up by 3000 miles I will ask them to take a look at it when I go for my oil change.
Tuff, Do you live in North Ga? I Drove all around North Ga this past weekend. Started at cumming's then went to north west ga to east Ga. There is some fun roads up there and a butt load of motor cycles and bikes.
