windshield cleaning
Does anyone have a favourite recipe for cleaning the inside of windsheilds? I still can see the suction cup marks on my rear window and can not get the inside front windsheild clean with normal spray cleaners..
My father-in-law swears that a crumpled up piece of newspaper is the only way to get a clean, streak-free windshield.
I tried some Armor All brand window cleaner wipes once and seem to remember them doing a fair job; but, I usually stick to Windex or whatever brand of window cleaner my wife happens to have under the counter.

It's really hard to beat 11 gallons of glass cleaner for $18! You'll find a bottle of it under the sink to clean all the glass/mirrors in the house and a bottle on my detailing chemical rack in the garage...
Meguiar's Detailer Glass Cleaner Concentrate
Oh yeah, did I mention that it's the best stuff out there? Stoner's Invisible Glass (my former favorite) can't touch this stuff!

Well if you have tinted windows make sure you have an amonia free glass cleaner. Other than that try a news paper. No streaks and no lint.

Just FYI... you can get Stonner's IG at Target and WallyWorld, as well as many auto parts stores. Might save you on the shipping.
While I like IG, I also like good 'ole Windex. Bought a gallon of concentrate a few years ago, and it's still going strong.
Another recommendation (if you don't have tinted windows) is to just get some amonia and mix with water (about a tablespoon for a 32oz bottle). Works very well. Plus you can use the amonia for many other purposes. It's an incredible de-greaser and cleaner.

Stoners does the trick. Be sure if you use a cloth to do the cleaning that its never put in the dryer after you wash them with any kind of fabric softner or washed with any either. It WILL streak your windows.
Same goes for paper towels. Most have a wetting agent added and they will also leave something behind.
I do our house windows with IG also. I llike the results so cost in not a consideration. You get what ya pay for.
