Please Help with Engine Lag

I know I ask a lot of dumb questions but maybe someone can help with this.

I have engine lag when pulling away from a dead stop. The truck does not jump or act funny it just seems like there is a split second pause. I have noticed that when I first start it in the morning and the engine is at 750rpm the lags seems to be missing which is fine granted that when warm it idles at 450-500rpm. My question is how can I get the truck to improve its response when the engine is warm? In addition, when I take off from a dead stop I drive like I'm letting it come up to speed by itself I try to make it as smooth as it can be. Could the computer have learned this and this is the problem?

Thanks

Jansen

sounds to me like the lag you are referring to is the delay in the "fly by wire' acceleration system....so far the only think I have heard of to fix the lag is to purchase the 1714 tuner.

I can't vouch for the tuner, mine is still in the mail....however im sure others can tell you.

The 1714 tuner is worth it in my oppinion.. now it won't make it a lightning or anything but it does help with lag and it improved full acceleration shifts.. definetly quicker.. also I'm noticing like when I bought my truck... the more I drive it the quicker it gets... well the longer I drive it with the tuner the quicker it gets...
