Question price of 4.56 gears

I'm finally getting my lift and 35" BFG's put on this friday. I have the 4.6L so I am thinking about changing the gears to 4.56. The problem is that the shop I go to wanted $900 for parts and labor.

Does this price seem comparable to what you guys have paid for regearing on your 2004? I have not shopped around a whole bunch in my area (San Diego) for prices, but usually this shop is pretty competitive.

thanks

Most threads I've read over the past year or so say that $900-$1000 (per axle) is standard.

thanks

I kinda figured that, but the price is so high I had to check. I mean it only cost me $500 to regear my 98 f150.
