Question Radio Glitch

I posted one time before about a radio glitch, and a lot of people laughed about it, they said; turn it on, tune it in, connect the antenna, etc, however it happened again.

What happened was, I went to the truck, did my normal start up, and turned the radio on, nothing but static on the FM bands, AM just fine, CD just fine, no FM. Started to drive home, and from time to time, I tryed tio get the FM to come in. Well, at a stop light, I turned the engine off, restarted the truck, and the radio worked just fine, FM was back. Seems strange the radio is tied into the computer somehow, or is it? Can someone explain this strange radio glitch? Has anyone else have this happen?

Standard AM/FM/CASS/Single CD Factory Radio

Thanks!

Maybe the ant. plug is not connected (pushed in) as far as it could be?

Thanks, I'll double check the antenna, but it sure seemed strange that it started working once I restarted the truck.

Personally I would take it to the dealer and let them fix it. If its not the antenna, but the radio, then they could go ahead and replace it for you.

Ya, but that may be 1+ day without your vehicle, because they are going to have to reproduce the problem, but if it works now, dont bother.

if it's loose the shaking from engine turnover could engage the connection.

how many times has this happened to components in an engine? a loose connection that won't duplicate a problem on command when you actualy get the mechanic in the truck.

but as was mentioned... let the dealer worry about it.
