Spongy Rearend

I had the Auto Spring 2 1/2 leveling spacer installed (spacer is 1 7/8 thick/tall) I had the back of the steering knuckle ground slightly, so no clunking or hitting of the spring pack. I plan to add 1" taller block or add a leaf to give a 1/2 rake from back to front.

The problem is that the front end is stiffer (not too stiff) which I happen to love. BUT the rearend feels like it's out of a 1970 something GM wagon.

QUESTION....has anyone added a spring or different shocks to reduce the spongy rear.

Was it spongy before you installed the Autospring kit?

I added Rancho RS9000X adjustable rear shocks. After adding a shell, bedslide, and all my carpenter stuff, the rear end felt pretty "spongy". Nice and controlled now. Also adding AirLift airbags this weekend to hold the back end level.

I didn't notice a big difference.... I think the truck had too much of a car like ride. Changing the the front created a noticable diff between the back & front.

Thanks for the info on the shocks....any other suggestions???
