2004 Rearend: 8.8, 9.75?

whats the number 8.8 or 9.75? i got the STX 4.6

The 3.55 and 3.73 are 9.75

The 3.55 and 3.73 rear ends are 9.75 and the 4.10 w/ the heavy payload package is 10.25. Refer to this pdf file for other insightful specs on our 04's.

I belive the front axle on the 4X4's are 8.8.

well i just learned that i have the 8.8 rearend and my truck weights 3800 lbs.

yes you can put 4.10 gears in a 9.75 i have 4.88 in mine,
