Thanks all for vibration info

Thanks to this site and all of you, on the day I was to pick up my ordered 04 4x4 F150, I took it for a test drive on new pavement and @ 45 mph the vibration started. I told the dealer thanks but no thanks I'll keep my perfect 2002 off road f150. I wish you all good luck with Ford I'm on the side lines watching, if Ford come up with a permanent repair I'll be driving a different product in the future. Thanks again, Great Site

When was your truck built?

Its disheartning that they are still coming off the line like this.

Better to walk away now than go through 10 months of service and DSB.

The biggest regret I have is that I traded my 00' Scab in for a vibrating 04' Screw. My truck has been at the dealership six weeks going through all the steps of the TSB. Now I have been waiting for six days on the local Ford representative to give me a next step answer.

What I want to know is.... what is the common denominator?

Obviously all the new ones arent vibrating. So what is the difference in a good f150 and a vibrating one?

Or better yet what is common of those that do vibrate?

Seems to me that if this problem was as wide spread as it seems to be by reading the forums Ford could have answered one of those questions by now.

I don't think there is a "Common denominator" as my F-150 was built in 07/03 and has no vibe, no differential problems and no throttle lag.
The problem is spuratic at best.

Re:Vibration

I had a intermittant vibration issue on my '04 2wd SCrew; Dealer rebalanced all tires and seems to have fixed problem.

My buddy had a similar issue with his 04 FX4; He had an alignment and tire rebalance and he still has a slight vibration. I wonder if the problem is with the new rack and pinion steering? Kinda wierd that it's affecting so many.
