Help needed; stuck wheel lock
Help needed; stuck wheel lock
Anyone here experience or advise for removing a very stubborn wheel lock?
FYI, I torqued it down to the 150 lb/ft( followed the instructions to use the factory recommended setting for my F150) and now it won't come off. Once I get the damn thing off I'll be thowing them away and switching back to the factory lug nuts.

Hi
Exactly how is it stuck ?
It won't turn at all or the 'key' for the lug not is not gripping enough ?
One old trick which you probably know is to loosen all the other nuts on that wheel (Don't remove them), raise the vehicle on it's jack, then gently lower to the ground and the force on the one remaining nut will loosen it.
Failing that a substantial chisel held against an appropriate part of the nut, and one well aimed heavy blow from a mallet often does the trick.
Good luck !

Thanks for the info. I'm really glad to know that I have some options. I don't have an arc welder but I assume a good tire shop or even the dealer could do the work if the earlier posted remedy doesn't work.
