Never let someone borrow your jack...

I'm an idiot, and it's my fault.

I let someone I don't know, borrow my jack so they could change a tire. when they gave it back to me it looked like they just tossed the parts onto the concrete while they were working, and they tore the rubber right off the end of the lug wrench and bent the metal end that is now exposed. I haven't had it a month really and now the jack looks like crap if you pull it out. I don't mind if it looks used as long as it's me that ruins it, but it pisses me off I let someone do that to a brand new jack. I mean now it looks like it's been used for 3-4 years to change tires...

Anyone know how much the 4 rod pieces go for for the 2004 F150 jack? I want to replace them, even though they still function fine, it's just the knowledge that they look like crap that bugs me.

That is the exact reason I don't let people borrow my jack. I've had people that I don't know asking me if they could borrow it just do to the fact they think it'll be beefier due to it coming from a truck. They look at me as if I'm an ******* for saying no.

Scuff them down a little a paint them, or take them to get powdercoated; now that would be sweet. Or chromed.

That's exactly why I don't let anyone borrow anything. The only exceptions are my Father and my brother. Hell, I won't even haul anything for anyone else.
