What is the difference between the gear ratios?

I just left a thread about gas mileage and one thing that was being thrown out is the gear ratio.

What is better, and why? I see it is an option on the "build your own F150" but I would have no clue beside price which is better.

I didn't even ask when I bought mine...

(I did how ever install the DDX-7015 stereo with a backup camera. That stuff I do know about.)

THANKS!

Do a search and you can learn a little more about it. In a nutshell the lower number, which is actually a higher gear (ie 3.55) you get better gas mileage and less power. Higher gear numbers, actually a lower gear (ie 4.10) more power. less gas mileage. You probably have either the 3.55 or 3.73, which are fairly similar in my opinion.
