Bed Shake

My bed shakes alot harder on the left side then the right. Noticed more over wavy or choppy roads. It drives smooth at any speeds on smooth roads though. Its a 2004 FX4 SCAB.http://www.f150online.com/galleries/....cfm?gnum=4490

Prior to adding a hard tonneau to my XLT Screw, I used to think the left bed corner shook more than the right, but now that I have an enhanced perspective of the bed/tonneau in the rear view mirror (the passenger side mirror is worthless for viewing the bed), IMO the entire bed shakes equally.

But, I have a solution to propose...interchange the location of the rear shocks, i.e. left to right, right to left.

What the hey? Numerous threads on the 'bed shake' have offered every other possible explanation/solution/thesis. Surely we can entertain one more.

P.S. I hope nobody takes the above too seriously.

I thought the bed and the rest of the truck were supposed to shake on wavy and choppy roads?

Right on, JP!

Now, if we could just figure out why, on the same pavement, some '04s shake and others don't?

I've got something for you all to think about.
Is it the bed shaking or is it the lack of shaking of the cab, that makes it noticable?

bed shake

Well my concern is the stress to the floor sheet metal but i do like the lack of the cab shaking.

bed shake

Also my Tailgate rattles really loud when its shaking may have to have it fixed first . I'm hoping Ford designs some damper for this .having had a 99 and a 03 this is rough not to look at while driving.
