Unhappy Sad Day...... I Finally Sold My Lariat.

Well, today my truck sold. After a wonderful 7 months of ownership and 8,000 glorious miles. Oh how I remember that first drive home.

Well anyway, not to start the who debate again on why I had to sell the truck due to a stupid Home Owners Association rule.

These trucks depreciate so much it's unreal. The same dealer that tried to sell me the truck for almost $40,000 wanted to offer me $22,000 for it 7 months later!

I got $30,500 from a private party.

Good Luck guys, these are awesome trucks!

They offered you trade-in value, what did you want them to sell the truck for? They have to make money some how.

Private party is always the best!

Watcha gonna get now? BMW?

Well sorry to hear that its gone, but glad to hear you sold it on your own and got a decent price for it. SO the question has been asked...what are you gonna get now?

Im not trying to start another debate,I understand how HOA's work, dont always agree with them but none the less, would they allow the Caddy Escalade 4 door with the small bed on it? Its no Ford but probably the next best thing in your situation.

Good luck with whatever you get and enjoy your new home.

Do the rules also require that your newspaper be delivered by a Caddy CRX? And I suppose easter egg hunts are prohibited too? Sounds like y'all live in a narrow/closed minded prison.

Ok Yes I'm getting a BMW...

(Short Version) The rule for the Homeowners Association was that they do not allow any pickup trucks of any kind to be parked outside over night. This truck just did not fit into the garage at all.

When I bought the truck I was living in another development. Great deal on a new home had to have it... yada yada and that was it.

So that’s why I had to sell it.

I'll get another one in a few years when I move again lol.

They don't allow trucks on the street, or they don't allow vehicles on the street?

My HOA says you can't park RV's on the street which is pretty normal, but I've never heard of not allowing trucks. That's just idiotic IMHO.

Not on the street, I can understand, but not in your driveway over night. That's a bid much. They would of seen a fight from me about that. But hey, having a BMW isn't so bad either.

I hate those HOA's! What is the point of owning a home if you cannt park a truck outside your house over night....a new one at that not some old piece of crap! I understand where some rule come from but some are just rediculous! Like the ones that will not let you wash your car at your house....It is like living an an apt. I am buying a house in about a year and will not even concider a HOA. If i decide to have a bikini bike wash at my house i will! that is why i pay the mortgage....my wife on the other hand might say differant

In my development, The HOA says that you cannot park any commercially registered trucks over night. So my F-150 is fine.
