It's rude to reply "use search". This is an online board. If someone wants to post about a topic, with new information/pics, let them do so. Useless replies about "use search" are just that, USELESS!

old...i know

I know this is an old thread, but I just found it, and I just have to reply.

asinatra's post to "search" and that there were already posts about the Roush F150 really pissed me off. What might be old news to the NEWBIE might not be old to everyone. THAT was the rude post in this thread!

03F15054FX4 was not being rude to tell him to hush. Everyone is a newbie somewhere, and should behave as such until "tenured", just as in real life. Even if in the right...a newbie should hold his tongue. It's a little thing called "RESPECT" that seems to get ignored alot on the web. In the real world, most ppl would not behave this way.

As far as the Roush truck...I like it!

I will be ordering the Roush FX4 4X4 with the suspension and performance mods only. Total cost will be a tad under 8K, and that will include the supercharger, dual exhaust, lowered 2" up front and 3" In the rear with new swaybars and shocks. The nice part is that the factory warranty will be good on the entire truck, including the performance and suspension, I can have my four doors, I can have my 4X4, and I plan to dump more on appearance mods, so I'll look good doing it.

I would have to agree that the majority of the appearance mods are over priced. The supercharger is a little more expensive than other kits, but as soon as a tranny blows on your Paxton or Whipple supercharged F-150 and Ford won't warranty it, the Roush unit just paid for itself.

I will probably get the tailgate spoiler, front chin spoiler and hood scoop with the truck as well. They want $450 for the stripe kit, which is too narrow, so I will get that done aftermarket, along with all the other interior and exterior accessories.

You can pick and choose what you want from Roush if you special order the truck, or you can pick a stock F-150 up on the lot and have the dealership install whatever parts you want. Pretty good deal in my opinion. I can't wait to get mine!

Good luck with it. I can't wait to hear your review of your supercharged F-150.
When will it all be done?

I'm planning on ordering the truck in April or May, and was told it could be up to 3 months before it is ready to pick up. I am waiting for several reasons, first and foremost is I don't want to drive the truck in the Vegas heat during summer, and we will be moving back to Alaska in early 2006. The other reason is I can get good end of the year incentives from Ford to tack onto my D-plan if I wait until the end of the year, and finally, I'm not quite done playing with my sport trac yet.

I'll become more of a regular in a few months, and will be posting my opinions on it. So far I have test driven a 4X4 FX4 with the suspension package and dual exhaust, and I was very impressed with the handling. I got to look over and listen to a supercharged FX4, and watch it drive off, but they wouldn't let me take her for a spin since it was already sold. Got my blood pumping to hurry up and get into my own though!
