Cool Might purchase this weekend, Please explain FEES!!

Okay guys... I might be picking up my new FX4 Scab this weekend... and this will be my first "new" car purchase... Actually, this is the first car I have ever purchased from a dealer..... So I need to know what to expect..

So.. can someone list the the fees I'm expected to pay...

Truck is an Black FX4 Scab, with the following options..
-18" wheels/tires
-power driver seat
-power rear window
-deluxe mirrors
-tow package
-nerf bars
-6 disc changer
-40/20/40 seating

MSRP is $35,360

Selling price after rebate and Ford financing $27,919
+ CA 8.00% tax...

So whats the list of other fees they are going to stick me with.....

And is it unreasonable to ask them to remove options... I could do without the $300 nerf bars, or 6 disc changer...

Thanks

Here in MN we have the following:

Plate Fee: $412.75 or so for license plates

Title Fee: $5

Documentary Fee: $50 (Dealer processes all of the Lic and Reg fees for customer)

State Deputy Filing Fee: $7

Motor Vehicle Transfer Tax: $4

Public Safety Vehicle Fee: $3.50

Plate Fee: $3.50

My fees totalled: $485.75

I just noticed that I paid $2267.33 in State Tax. Ouch!

You will pay $2233.52 in Taxes. They don't charge you tax on any warranties, trade amount, rebates, or "fees" that you have to pay.

Hopefully this helps.

As far as the options go, I don't think that they will remove those items. If they are on the truck they will insure that they sell with the truck. IMO However, be prepared to walk away from this deal. Tell them you will take the truck if you don't have to pay for those options. See if they are willing to negotiate those. If not, walk and come back the next day if they don't call you. You know they are serious then. Buy the truck with the options on it if you don't get them to move anymore.

I really can't catch you up on all the fees right now, I'm at work.
But as for rmoving options I don't think they will. If it's listed on the sticker then I believe that the dealer needs to sell "as is".
But I know some dealers will do a cash-back or trade-credit after the sale...sometimes.

Congrats on the new truck - you're gonna love it

You can probably call the dealership up and ask what the Tax, Title and Registration fees are going to be. Simply ask what the "out the door" charges are excluding the tax, since you already know what that it.
They wont let you pull options, I tried that with my 6 disc, but I soon learned that the 6 disc will go for a lot more on ebay than they could ever give back to you. I sold mine for $350 on ebay and put in a nice aftermarket with more options and quality.
Like others said, the key is to be able to walk out. They want to sell you that truck more than you want to buy it. I got my dealer to throw in a line-x liner by turning for the door twice. First time he called me back and offered it at "dealer price" and second time he said, "If you say yes now we can make it happen." If they wont compensate you for the stuff you dont want then at least make them give you the liner. They will do far better throwing in that liner than not selling the truck. You have to be tough with them, bottom line.

Sweet... I'm going to press the sales lady to find me another truck with the options i wanted... or I'll tell her to throw in the liner... that's seems fair enough...

They can give you a printout of the associated fees. Some add-ons can be removed and others can be negotiated. I've told many dealers that I didn't want their add-ons and had the price removed or lowered.
